Hi, I’m Rachael and both my children have attended Little Jesters- and loved it!
My background is in medicine but I now help young adults get into education, careers or training. I like to read when I get a spare minute - which isn’t as often as I’d like! I play tennis and squash and enjoy cooking for my friends.
I love most animals of the furry variety and always hope to bump into dogs on my outdoor adventures with my children!

Living locally to Faldingworth I was looking for a childcare setting that could provide high levels of care with a fun and interactive schedule in a smaller setting. Having chosen Little Jesters, I have been extremely impressed by the level of professionalism and care the staff provide as well as the ethos of ‘Learning through play’ which I have found to be extremely successful.
I wanted to join the committee to offer my support from a HR, Sales and Marketing perspective. Having been the General Manager at Market Rasen Racecourse for 6 years I have amassed a great deal of experience in the successful running of businesses and I hope my knowledge will help Little Jesters continue to thrive.

I joined the committee in 2021. I’ve been so lucky that all three of my children have attended Little Jesters. My first son struggled in a larger nursery but once he started here, he was soon at home and loved it so much he didn’t want to leave. All three of them have flourished in this setting, staff know my children inside out and I truly feel like we belong to a big family here.

I moved to Faldingworth in 2014. I have 2 young boys. I am a former Beauty therapist with some knowledge of business management and have completed various training courses surrounding SEND, specifically anything around understanding Autism and how to support children with autism. I am extremely passionate about SEND and always striving to expand my knowledge in this area. I have always been a huge supporter of Little Jesters Preschool. Both of my children attended and was always well supported. They had a brilliant time at preschool and have since moved into primary School. The support I received from the team was second to none. Joining the committee was my chance to give back to this wonderful setting that supported my family so much. I have sat on the committee since 2017.

    Michelle Foster- Treasurer

Hi, my name is Michelle Foster and I am the preschool treasurer.
I remember my eldest going to little jesters and helping out in the sessions it was a pleasure to watch the children grow. My youngest choose little Jesters and Faldingworth school I’m sure it wasn’t just the bus ride that did it! He has such fond memories with all of the Staff I believe this was the best foundation that encouraged his love and enthusiasm for learning and school life.
The best part of being a committee member for me Is seeing the children's happy faces it's so rewarding.

Hi, I'm Emma, my son currently attends Little Jesters and loves his time there, he is due to go to "big" school in September of this year. My hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening and playing netball. I decided to join the committee because I wanted to support how much effort goes into the Preschool with it being non-profitable and do what I can to help with fundraising ideas.

We moved to Faldingworth in 2020 and had our son signed up to Little Jesters straight away. We loved the small welcoming feel and have been so impressed ever since with the learning and development as well as the friendships that have formed both for Finley and for us.
I work as an Area Manager for Caffè Nero and have been with them for 15 years. It is a very people-focused company and I'm passionate about people and developing and motivating my team to deliver results. My other passions lie in interior design, which I studied at Uni, and anything creative. I'm sociable and love spending time with family and friends. By being on the committee I hope I can help support Little Jesters as they help to support my family.

    OFSTED

Little Jesters is registered with and regularly inspected by OFSTED, we also receive support and guidance from Early Years and Childcare support service which contributes to the Partnership’s overall planning to provide education and care throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Our last full OFSTED inspection was September 2017 in which Little Jesters received a ‘Good’ rating.

We have included some of the comments from our previous inspection.
    The inspector comments were:

Staff make accurate assessments of the children’s achievements and use this information to plan challenging activities for each child. Children make good progress in their development.

Staff meet the needs of children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. Additional support is put in place quickly to ensure all the children make consistently good progress.

Children are well prepared for their move on to school. For example, staff take children to the host school on a Friday to choose their snack from a tuck shop. Children confidently and independently pay for their snacks.

Information about children’s achievements is shared effectively with the host school when children move on in order to promote continuity of the care and learning. Staff sit with children in the school hall when they eat their lunch with the school-aged children. Children learn the routine of the school day effectively.
