The Pre-School is managed by a fully qualified Early Years Practitioner with 30 years of experience of working in Early Years settings, and as an Early Years adviser for children with Special Educational Needs.
All other members of staff are appropriately qualified and attend training to further their professional development.
We ensure that the adult child ratio is appropriate to the ages of children at all times.
All staff hold recognised qualifications in children’s development and childcare and have undergone suitability checks made against the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All staff attend required training courses throughout the year to supplement and diversify their existing skill-sets.
Our keyperson system gives each member of staff particular responsibility for just a few children.
Each child has one special adult to relate to and make sure they are happy so making settling into preschool much easier. In addition, the keyperson is in a position to tailor the curriculum to the unique needs of each individual child.
The keyperson maintains links with the child’s home setting, and works with parents, along with observation and record-keeping, to ensure that all children are supported in reaching their full potential.
