This week we have been getting in the holiday mood ready for Faldingworth village Scarecrow Trail this weekend – the theme this year is Holiday! The activities for the week included buckets and spades in the sandpit and an ice cream parlour in the home corner. Our sensory tuff spot was sea themed and included different animals in and under the sea as well as different textures for the children to explore.
This week we also waved goodbye to our butterflies out on the school field. The children enjoyed watching the development of the butterflies – from eggs to caterpillars, to making their chrysalis, and finally being lucky enough to watch the butterflies emerge. This is always a popular activity at Little Jesters. The children enjoy the experience of watching and learning about life cycles.
