Roadworks started on the A46 at Faldingworth today and are expected to last three weeks. We would like to confirm some information to assist you in getting your children to preschool safely.
Those who walk to pre-school will be able to do so as normal as footpath access will be maintained throughout the works period.
For those of you travelling by car:
- From the north / east (Middle/Market Rasen): You will be able to park at the road closure barriers (map key #1) and walk your child into preschool along the path from there at Buslingthorpe Road.
- From the south (Friesthorpe/Wickenby): You are able to drive up to the barriers (map key #2) park your car there and walk the rest of the way to preschool.
- From the west (Newtoft/Cold Hanworth): Those coming up Spridlington Road can park safely along Spridlington Road (map key #3) and walk the rest of the way either via Stocks Lane and then following the path round the school fence (map key #4), or the A46 footpath.
Please be aware that the closure barriers affecting routes marked on the map will be subject to movement by the contractors at any given time and as such the distance you may need to walk will be influenced by this.
Roadworks will be halted between 08:45 & 9:00 and 15:30 to 15:45 daily as well as between 13:00 and 13:15 on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays – this will allow you to walk safely through the works area with your child. Any worries or concerns, or if you require further clarification, feel free to give us a call.
